It was truly a pleasure to reconnect in a recent ‘Jazz at LACMA’ interview with Mitch Glickman, KJazz 88.1 FM airing this Sunday, August 19th, 7-9pm PST.
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art music program features the art of jazz as practiced by leading Southern California artists for over twenty years and continues to be one of the museum’s most recognizable offerings.
On Friday, August 3, at 6pm The Tom Rizzo Quintet, featuring Annmarie Rizzo, will be performing at the LACMA ( Los Angeles County Museum of Art).
It was an honor to be invited to contribute a story for The Jazz Education Network, a wonderful organization dedicated to building the jazz arts community by advancing education, promoting performances and developing audiences.
As one of L.A.’s most sought-after studio musicians, guitarist Tom Rizzo has recorded and performed with Brian Wilson, Chaka Khan, Natalie Cole and many others. Rizzo leads his own jazz trio and has recorded two critically acclaimed albums for Origin Records featuring impressive sidemen, including Peter Erskine and Bob Sheppard. A prolific composer, Rizzo has written music for hundreds of television episodes, including “In Living Color” and “The Wayans Brothers.”
I still continue as a professional musician and jazz guitar player in Los Angeles. I look forward to helping this niche of fellow colleagues and professionals, many of whom I've known for over 25 years, and feel privileged to have gained their trust to help them manage their financial future.
